Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley is known for providing high quality end-of-life care and grief support, however, there are many aspects of our services people are unaware of or do not fully understand. In an effort to dispel some of the myths surrounding hospice care, and in celebration of National Hospice Month, Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley is hosting a month-long awareness campaign. The campaign will kick off with Hospice’s 9th Annual Radiothon on November 2nd and continue throughout the month of November.
The Annual Radiothon to Benefit Hospice is more than just a fundraiser! Each fall, community members tune in to listen to powerful stories from individuals who have been directly impacted by our services including friends and family members whose loved ones were cared for by Hospice, healthcare providers who collaborate with Hospice, community members who have participated in education or support programs, and Hospice volunteers who offer their time to help comfort patients.
Easily our most important educational tool, speakers give listeners insight to the special kind of compassionate care and support Hospice provides. Thanks to the teamwork of many local radio stations, this fundraiser features a live broadcast from the Hospice Center. The Radiothon for Hospice is simulcast to an estimated 75,000 listeners in St. Lawrence County and Southern Ontario on the following radio stations:
- WQTK/92.7 FM
- WLFK/95.3 FM
- WMSA/1340 AM
with support from:
- WSNN/99.3 FM
- WNCQ/102.9FM
- WYSX/96.7FM and
- WLFV/96.1
Tune in on November 2nd to learn more!
